Market Day Craft Fair in Fishkill

Market Day Craft Fair at the Van Wyck Homestead Museum is a modern-day take on old-time markets. In the colonial era, market days allowed craftspeople, farmers, and friends to come together for fellowship and stock up on needed goods. The Fishkill Historical Society will use funds raised from the fair for the upkeep and educational programming at the c.1732 Van Wyck Homestead Museum.

You are sure to find treasures among the over 25 Arts and Crafts vendors including watercolor art, wooden gifts, resin art, pottery, vintage style purses, jewelry, beautifully painted planter pots, wreaths, skincare, aromatherapy, knit clothing, quilted bags, clothing, journals.

The Fishkill Historical Society’s volunteers have concession stands and will have lunch and dessert for visitors. Concessions include homemade soups, chili, baked goods, made-to-order apple fritters, and hot dogs. The Van Wyck Homestead Museum’s gift shop will be out on the grounds with t-shirts, framed photos of Fishkill from the past, colonial-era toys, gifts, and raffle tickets for a handmade queen-sized quilt and local restaurant gift cards.

Featured at Market Day will be a demonstration of Colonial Era woodworking and gunsmithing by Bruce Beard. The museum will also be open for tours during the Market Day event. This is the 4th annual Market Day Craft Fair. It's so much fun to see the museum buzzing with festive activity at this event!
